The Yamal-Region Regional State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company , which was founded on the basis of the district radio and received the status of television in the nineties of the last century, has gone a rapid development path: from a small, almost amateur television studio with a half-hour broadcast to the first Arctic television channel in Russia and the largest media holding a region.

Today  GU OGTRK "Yamal-Region"   has its own programming, and broadcasts 24 hours a day both on the body and on the radio channel. Yamal-Region is the only television and radio company in the Russian Federation that broadcasts in Russian, as well as in the languages ​​of the indigenous peoples of the North - Khanty, Nenets, Komi and Selkup.
